WIP Sept 28, 2011

Not much going on in the sewing room lately because I'm in the middle of working on my new sewing room which entails a complete remodeling project. Tearing walls down, new electrical sockets, moving light from the end of the ceiling to the middle of the ceiling, new windows installed, new sheet rock...you get the picture!

It's turned into a much bigger job than originally planned on but will be worth it once completed. This will be my stash closet...measuring 5 1/2 feet by 11 feet.  More photos of the renovation and more info about the project can be found at my other blog, Glory Bee Garden

New Beginning

I love to knit and sew, although I was not able to for a few years due to cataracts. Now the cataracts are gone, I can see great and have a new found love of color. I've been so inspired since discovering block swaps and quilting groups on flickr. I love seeing what others are up to, participating in block swaps, reading some wonderful blogs and getting in on all the sharing activities. I'm looking forward to participating in a QAL, and soon my first KAL, contests and giveaways.

I've been posting about such things over at Glory Bee Garden, my other blog and realized it was straying from my original intent. Now instead, I'll post about my latest quilting, knit & crochet projects, charity knitting & sewing and all the things I'm enjoying making for Chloe, my first grandchild, here, at Usually Quilting.
